Set in the UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere transition zone, the five-star all-inclusive Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort occupies an enviable spot within a nature reserve, on a white sandy beach facing a preserved lagoon. Formed around a 19th-century plantation-style house, it blends heritage with chic and fashionable hospitality. Featuring a world-class destination golf course, an African village-style spa, a seemingly endless array of food and leisure options and stellar facilities for families, Heritage Awali is also a carbon-neutral eco-resort.

Accommodation Inspired by African Heritage

All the 163 bedrooms have a balcony or terrace and have been recently refurbished. 23 are interconnecting, catering to families and there are five categories of rooms, including Senior Suites and villas which come with Jacuzzis and ihome.

The top-end space is the 1310m² Heritage Villa Beachfront, with two master bedrooms, one kids room, a private pool and gazebo, as well as optional butler service. Dark teak furnishings, cream linens, tiled floors and ceiling fans throughout the property, evoke the plantation feel.

Dining

Savana is the main restaurant, with an extensive breakfast buffet and a separate area for adults only; Kuzini serves a la carte Italian food; Infinity Blue is a relaxed pool and beach restaurant with views over the lagoon; Amafrooty houses a gelateria and serves a light lunch menu; Zafarani is an Indian adults-only eatery; the al fresco Boma combines an African show, buffet BBQ and bonfire bi-weekly; Le Château De Bel Ombre provides formal and refined locavore concept dining and offers a wine tasting experience in its wine cellar; Annabella’s is the main restaurant at Heritage Le Telfair; Gin’ja is a Pan-Asian beach restaurant with lagoon views, a teppanyaki corner and a champagne bar; Le Palmier has a wellness and seafood degustation menu; and lastly there’s the O’Grill Restaurant At Le Chateau Golf Course.

And Drinking…

Order drinks (or a daily afternoon tea) at Zenzibar Lounge. Get that Mauritian feeling at the Infinity Blue Bar with a beach service, or sip cocktails right on the perfect white sands at Coco Shack. Finally, there’s the trendy C Beach Club, which draws locals and visitors from across the island.

Two Golf Courses

The 18-hole championship golf course Le Château Golf Course is the jewel in Heritage Awali’s crown and no doubt the reason it was voted World Top 100 luxury golf and beach resort by Today’s Golfer. Stay here and you’ll enjoy complimentary green fees, as well as access to the only 9-hole with Par-3s and footgolf course in Mauritius. Both were designed by internationally renowned golf course architect and ex-European Tour player, Peter Matkovich. And in autumn 2023, the resort added La Réserve Golf Links, available only to Heritage Resorts’ guests and Heritage Golf Club members. This is the first and only private links-style course to exist in the Indian Ocean and was co-designed by Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen. Additional amenities include a clubhouse with a shop, kids’ coaching programmes and PGA Pro Certified staff.

Seven Colours Spa

The spa facilities are housed in thatched huts, creating the feel of a little African village, nestled among the tropical flora and fauna. Its 3000 m2 accommodates a mix of indoor and outdoor treatment rooms beside the beach and in the gardens. Some have Vichy showers and steam rooms, others are designed for couples and others again for families and kids. There’s also a vitality and a chill-out pool, two hammams, one sauna and two relaxation areas, A salon, parlour and bridal room cater to guests’ hair and beauty needs.

Baby Timomo, Timomo Kids and Umuzi Teens Club

The super family-friendly resort has endless opportunities for its younger guests. There are clubs for those 0 to 35 months old (staffed by nurses trained in first aid and childcare), three to 12 years old and another for teens from 12 to 17 years old. The programmes include engaging options like the discovery of local musical instruments, stargazing, outdoor cinema, tennis and beach volley tournaments and Sega parties around a bonfire. Plus parents can spend time bonding with the children, by taking part in a plethora of onsite activities such as speedminton, archery, bocce-ball, hobie cats, snorkelling and paddleboarding.

A stay at Heritage Awali invites you to immerse in the natural world, as you discover the 1300 hectares of surrounding protected land. Or to indulge in a wellness break, a foodie holiday, a golfing experience, or an activity-packed adventure with those you love.

The first five-star adults only hotel to arrive in Belgrade is a grand, opulent and artistic affair. Paying homage to 18th-century France, its Baroque styling is in part a reverence to Marie Antoinette and  King  Louis  XVI. As such, it is unashamedly glamorous and regal, oozing vintage sophistication. Antique furnishings, paintings and sculptures abound, creating a timeless French elegance that well suits the Prezident Palace’s location in Belgrade’s historic quarter.

Dorćol

The Prezident Palace is found in the oldest part of the city, Dorćol, within close proximity of Belgrade’s attractions. Those staying here can stroll to the National Theatre, Knez Mihailova pedestrian street, the National Museum, the Botanical Garden, the bohemian quarter Skadarlija, the Kalemegdan Fortress and Rajićeva Shopping Mall. And there are many exciting excursions to be enjoyed in the vicinity, with underground tours, sailings on the Danube and Sava rivers and tasting sessions in the city’s many wine cellars all proving popular with tourists. The hotel provides transfers from the airport and chauffeur-driven limousine services to make your local journeys seamless.

Fairytale bedrooms

At the Prezident Palace Hotel Belgrade twin and king-size bedrooms and an Executive Suite are all draped in rich, heavy fabrics, with royal colours like gold and deep red, oil paintings, heavy gilt antique pieces, Swarovski crystal droplet candelabra lighting and carved wooden headboards. Each is equipped with a fluffy bathrobe and slippers, high-end toiletries, hot drinks makers with organic coffee and teas and a complimentary bottle of water.

VIP suites

Book a room on the 8th floor of the hotel, the VIP area, where there are four extra special suites inspired by the Palace of Versailles. Transporting guests to a bygone era, these feature the gold-plated details famously favoured by the notorious French ruler. Opt for the Marie Antoinette Suite, also known as The Silver Room, which takes its design cues from the Petit Trianon. Part of the Trianon Estate, this neo-classical palace was originally built for the king and his mistress, but was later gifted to the queen, who loved to spend time at the Petit Trianon. While inspired by the iconic building, the suite retains the Prezident Hotel’s signature style. Staying here is a most unique and luxurious experience, that’s paired with attentive service worthy of its VIP guests.

Marie Antoinette

Links to the last French queen don’t end there. The Prezident Palace Hotel’s restaurant is also named after her and reflects the infamous gastronomic hedonism of her lifestyle. Marie Antoinette is located on the 9th floor, with glass walls affording wonderful views across Belgrade, including the River Danube. Take a seat in a blue velvet and gilt chair, beneath a frescoed ceiling and Murano glass chandeliers. You’ll sample some top-class wines from the finest wine-producing areas of the world, alongside an exquisitely presented array of dishes eaten with, of course, golden cutlery.

The Roof

On the level above the restaurant with equally breathtaking views, is The Roof. Here you’ll find a large outdoor pool (which glows with light after dark) with a waterfall. The Roof provides unobstructed views, as well as a cocktail bar for magical drinks at sundown — a retractable roof protects from both sun and showers. It contrasts the rest of the property, with its contemporary take on chic, as opposed to the heritage magnificence of the other areas. Also on this floor, is the Gentlemen’s Club, a vintage-style cigar bar with just six seats, for an intimate drink and perhaps a game of chess.

Relaxation and energy renewal

The hotel’s spa and gym occupy two floors, 1000m2 of space, allowing plenty of room for relaxation and renewal. Like the rest of the Prezident Palace’s indoor areas, this is lavishly designed. The low-ceiling space is cosy and sumptuous, with oil paintings and marble surfaces beside the heated swimming pool. Spend time in the hot tub, Finnish sauna, steam room and the warm marble tepidarium — the perfect antidote for aching muscles after a day’s pounding the pavements. And you can book a selection of massages and treatments. Like the rest of the facilities onsite, this area is reserved for those aged 18 and over, ensuring the sense of tranquility.

If you adore palatial surroundings, then this hotel is sure to be right up your rue. Its grandiosity is sure to have you feeling like a king or a queen, as you discover the delights of Dorćol and the wider city.

Epitomising exclusivity, this award-winning resort, with its own stretch of sandy shore, accommodates just nine very special villas. Porto Zante Villas and Spa is arguably Europe’s most private beach resort, enjoying a lofty perch above the Ionian Sea. This hidden haven is the place to come if you want to unwind, sample some bespoke experiences and enjoy meticulous service from arrival to departure.

An Enchanting Island

Porto Zante is just a 20-minute drive from Zakynthos International Airport, with daily non-stop flights from/to major European cities. Zakynthos itself is a lively destination with an array of attractions and entertainment options. Yet within the confines of the resort, you can enjoy an enhanced level of serenity and privacy, allowing you to do as little or as much as you like.

World-Class Villas

Each of the nine villas is set on the beachfront, offering spectacular views and a true sense of seclusion. Sizes range from one to four bedrooms, making a stay here suitable for honeymooners, through to families, groups and those with an entourage; as such, the resort has a long history of illustrious and well-known clientele. The decor elegantly harmonises with the natural surroundings of Zakynthos and of course, the amenities are of a five-star standard.

Ocean-View Dining

While the island has many bars and restaurants, you don’t have to leave the grounds to fine dine and enjoy live entertainment. There are two waterfront eateries, where guests can experience a flavour journey spanning Greece, the Mediterranean and Asia whilst listening to the easy sounds of a live pianist and singer every evening at the Club House. The resort also offers the luxury of a 24-hour in-villa dining service and can arrange intimately romantic meals for two right on the beach.

The Waterfront Spa

The hotel boasts the only spa in Europe located on the water. Nurturing wellness treatments are inspired by Ancient Greece and can be enjoyed individually, or as a bonding experience, as a couple. Guests can also stay active with a wellness programme that includes beach yoga and daily fitness classes. Plus there’s a gym by Technogym to stay fit.

Activities For All Ages

Kids have their own club and a playground and the nearby waterpark always proves popular with Porto Zante’s younger guests. Adults and teens can try watersports, explore under the sea with some scuba diving, snorkel and go swimming with turtles. Activities on terra firma include horseback riding, tennis, table tennis and mini golf. But if you’re itching to see what lies beyond the resort and you can tear yourself away from the views and pampering, there’s much to be seen close by.

Exploring Zakynthos and Beyond

The resort can arrange private yacht cruises ranging from three to six hours in duration. Taking in famed local attractions like the shipwreck, Turtle Island, Kefalonia (recognisable as a filming location for Captain Corelli’s Mandolin), Ithaki Island and Ancient Olympia (the birthplace of the Olympic games), these can be designed as a romantic sunset sail just for two, or as a fun-filled ocean escapade for your group. Alternatively, take an overland excursion to Ancient Olympia just one hour away, or a historical tour of Zakynthos including the island’s museums, churches and picturesque traditional villages.

With its stunning natural landscapes and rich heritage, Zakynthos is undoubtedly a captivating destination. And Porto Zante Villas & Spa goes that extra mile in providing guests with unforgettable moments in unparalleled luxury.

The serene Swiss landscapes of Weggis and the shores of Lake Lucerne are home to the fairytale Chenot Palace, which stands as a pinnacle of luxury and holistic well-being. This exclusive wellness retreat has garnered international acclaim for its innovative approach to the pursuit of optimal health; anti-gravity training, cryotherapy, neuro-acoustic relaxation, vacuum therapy and photo-biomodulation are just some of the advanced techniques used as part of the revolutionary week-long programmes.

Renowned for its integration of medical expertise, advanced therapies and fine amenities, Chenot Palace Weggis offers a transformative experience for those who enter its doors…

A Flagship Retreat

Opened in June 2020, the stunning property serves as the company’s flagship health and wellness retreat. It comprises a 5,000 sqm state-of-the-art medical spa, a gym, pool, sauna, steam room, cryo chamber, 97 treatment rooms and 97 bedrooms, as well as dining spaces and 20000 square metres of grounds. The Chenot Palace’s sublime location – with its clean, refreshing mountain air and mild climate – invites its guests to dip into the local landscapes. Guests can boost their fitness and well-being with some wild swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, Nordic walking, hiking, tennis or cycling. The serene natural surroundings, combined with the comprehensive Chenot Method, set the scene for a transformative journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation.

Art and Design

The palace itself is a masterful blend of traditional Swiss architecture dating back to 1875, and contemporary design in the form of an extension by architect Davide Macullo. Interiors – crafted using natural materials – exude a sense of tranquillity, with minimalist aesthetics and warm tones that create an atmosphere of harmony and relaxation.

There’s an emphasis on natural light throughout, with lake and Alpine views framed through the windows, decorative forest motifs and hand-carved ceilings in the spa. Macullo’s own artwork, alongside a carefully curated collection from nine young native artists, can be viewed throughout the Palace. Bedrooms range from singles to suites, with features such as panoramic terraces, balconies, freestanding tubs, zen gardens and sleep technology.

The Chenot Method

The “founding father of the wellness movement”, Henri Chenot has been an advocate for a more holistic approach to health since as far back as 1974, when he founded his company. A pioneer in this field, he developed the Chenot Method five decades ago with a focus on proactive prevention through scientific research. The Method looks at biomarkers in the body to personalise a treatment plan — a practical framework for resetting and promoting health. The Chenot company is now led by Dr George Gaitanos, Chief Operating and Scientific Officer, who develops the programmes, alongside Ivana Sgheiz, CEO and GM of CPW.

Aim and Approach

Recognising the need and desire to live healthier for longer, the brand integrates health and wellness artfully. Rather than treating disease and symptoms, it takes the aim of helping individuals to adapt and develop high levels of functionality, become more resilient and experience increased vitality. How is this achieved? Through innovation, technology, evidence-based treatments, transformative products, precision medicine, Traditional Chinese healing, the finest hospitality and an authentic approach. And it’s why Chenot has built a reputation for creating the world’s leading wellness centres and award-winning programmes.

Programmes at the Palace

There are three programmes to choose from at the Chenot Palace Weggis, each designed for a minimum of a one-week stay and developed on the core principles of the Chenot Method. The Chenot Diet, daily Hydrotherapy (hydro, phyto mud wrapping and hydro jet), daily energetic massages with cupping and bioenergetic treatments are key tenets of every programme, enhanced by comprehensive diagnostics and consultations. Cryo, Photobiomodulation, Neuro Acoustic Deep Relaxation, Anti Gravity Training, HRV Biofeedback training and other methods are also implemented as appropriate, with treatments based on the principles of hormesis (where short controlled doses of stressors are used to activate ancestral survival pathways, making the body more resilient and adaptable to future stress).

The Chenot Diet

This fast-mimicking diet is an integral part of the Chenot Method. It plays a significant role in activating the body’s self-healing mechanisms, in parallel with medical treatments. Emphasising anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, plant-based, organic and alkaline whole foods, the menus at the Palace have been prepared in collaboration with nutrition author, Chenot Group co-founder (and Henri’s wife) Dominique, along with nutritional scientists. Guests enjoy haute gastronomy that’s imbued with cutting-edge science and informed by decades of research. And from October 2023, some of the diet’s recipes will be available to make at home, with the launch of a new ‘Detox at Home’ Cookbook to promote healthy ageing.

The Dining Room and Tea Lounge

Recognising the vital role of nutrition in maintaining optimal health, the on-site restaurant offers a culinary experience that is both nutritious and delicious. The menu is carefully crafted to complement the Chenot Method, with a ground-breaking approach that takes into account low-density calories, acidity, low temperatures and moisture content. Like the Dining Room, the Palace’s Tea Lounge provides blissful lake and garden views. Here guests can enjoy herbal infusions, green teas and mocktails containing beneficial properties.

A week’s stay at Chenot offers a cleanse and reset, a time to replenish lost energy — many clients visit once or twice a year as a regular personal investment in their well-being. Chenot Palace Weggis is much more than just a luxury wellness retreat. Rather it’s a sanctuary that fosters a modern approach to health. Whether seeking to improve physical vitality, mental clarity, or emotional balance, Chenot offers the tools, expertise and nurturing needed.

This is a place where London’s past blends into its present and brings luxury to life.

A Naval Past

Originally built as the headquarters of the Port of London Authority in 1922, Ten Trinity Square is more than a hotel – it’s a landmark that’s been carefully restored to its former glory. The hotel pays homage to this rich heritage, with original architectural details and exquisite craftsmanship evident throughout the property, as well as nautical motifs. After being bombed in World War II, the ground floor was refurbished, bringing it into the midcentury. From the stunning lobby to the elegant guest rooms, every corner of the hotel tells a story, immersing guests in a world of timeless elegance. And there are currently a number of artefacts from the Museum of London Archaeology on show beneath the grand domed ceiling.

100 Guest Rooms and 34 Residences

The hotel features a range of accommodations arranged into categories of Superior and Deluxe rooms (floors one to three); Premier rooms; Executive rooms with honey-oak features and separate living space; third-floor corner Suites; Speciality Suites with original features (these are sub-categorised as Heritage, Trinity Heritage, Grand Heritage and Royal Garden; and individually-designed Residences, with between one and four bedrooms across two levels and private terraces looking out over London. Each bedroom has a king-size Four Seasons Bed, wooden panelling, a refrigerated private bar with a coffee maker and bedside charging stations as standard, with calming grey tones. While higher-category accommodations include contemporary four-poster beds, bio-ethanol fireplaces, Lorenzo Villoresi amenities, Bose speakers, dining areas and kitchens with Gaggenau appliances.

The Rotunda Bar and Lounge

A convivial setting for a fine afternoon tea, The Rotunda’s take on the Victorian tradition is themed on the nearby Tower of London and entitled The Crown Jewels. Enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, a Devonshire cream tea and a selection of light pastries, with loose-leaf tea, non-alcoholic sparkling tea, or a glass of fine champagne. Guests can sink into a comfy upholstered armchair for a few cocktails and oysters on ice, a vintage spirit and a little caviar, some bar bites, a morning meal, or something a little heartier from the grill. At weekends, The Rotunda’s house pianists play during the afternoon, while vocalists regale patrons in the evening, from the central “stage” area, beneath the rotunda ceiling.

La Dame de Pic London

This outpost of the renowned La Dame de Pic brand by Anne-Sophie Pic offers diners the opportunity to experience the French chef’s unique culinary style (guided by intuition and emotion) and innovative award-winning dishes. Pic is the most decorated Michelin-starred female chef in the world, with 10 stars in total, two of which have been earned (and retained in 2023) at Ten Trinity Square. Sample a daytime tasting menu, or the “Journey” and “Voyage” tasting menus by night. The signature dish is Berlingots; perfectly formed pasta parcels arranged in a neat circle, with Brie de Meaux and pine nuts, wild mushrooms, watercress coulis and Douglas pine. Despite its high credentials, the dining room here provides a relaxed atmosphere and there’s a separate space where up to 12 can enjoy a private meal.

Mei Ume and Bloom

Lunch and dinner is also served at Mei Ume, where the cuisine is a modern take on traditional dishes. Choose from a set lunch or a la carte menu, with vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free menus also available. Signature dishes here include a whole Peking duck served across two courses, crispy cream prawn maki and Szechuan crispy king prawns with chilli and peppercorn. Bloom is the hotel’s summer pop-up venue on the rooftop, with exceptional city views. Taking over the Crown Residence, it’s been flooded with blooms from top florist Wild at Heart, creating an Eden-like environment for drinks, bar snacks and charming afternoon tea picnics.

The Spa at Ten Trinity Square

Guests can take some time out from the hubbub of the city at this in-house spa. The 24-hour fitness centre is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, there’s a vitality pool, steam room and sauna, and the 14-meter indoor pool provides a tranquil setting for a refreshing swim (there are set pool hours for kids, catering for those who want some time together as a family and those who prefer a more serene environment). Book some massage and hammam treatments, or get ready for a night out, with a cut, colour, style and beauty treatments at the award-winning Gielly Green salon.

Ten Trinity Square’s Private Members’ Club

Those residents in the city, or frequent visitors, may wish to join Ten Trinity Square’s Private Members’ Club, a partnership between Reignwood Group, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and Château Latour. This provides access to an exclusive lounge with Château Latour vintages, as well as a separate Cigar Lounge and shop, where you can discover rare vintage Havanas, Montecristos, Cohibas and more, under the guiding hand of your cigar sommelier. Patrons can dine on a menu by Head Chef Alex Tzatzos in the Château Latour Dining Room, access the hotel’s spa and attend private events at the club.

Final Thoughts

Welcome to the cinematic landscapes of Tuscany, where the outskirts of the famed medieval town of Montepulciano hold a hidden gem – the Poggio Alla Sala estate. This enchanting retreat offers a timeless escape well-suited for families and couples seeking a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway. Surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and farmhouses, this enchanting retreat captivates guests with its natural beauty, exotic cuisine, wonderful wines and mystical ambience.

Contemporary Meets Neo-Classical

The 18th-century Neoclassical Villa, as the main building, displays the perfect blend of history and modernity. It was carefully renovated to maintain its authentic historic spirit by restoring the terracotta floors, frescos and vaulted ceilings and windows. Villa rooms feature shuttered windows and four-poster beds, offset by modern amenities. These comprise Classic and Deluxe Villa rooms, Villa Spa Suites (with in-room Jacuzzis), the Luxury Villa Suite and the Panoramic Tower Suite (a beamed-ceiling “penthouse” with an in-room jacuzzi, an extra special suite for honeymooners and those desiring another level of private luxury).

Across the villa is the estate’s second accommodation which includes a Classic Studio, perfect for couples or smaller families, and a spacious ground-floor Large Studio. Guests can enjoy especially inviting views from the Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites while the Suites offer living and working areas that allow up to four guests to spread out a little further

The Pools

Landscaped into the lush grounds are the resort’s 3 pool area.  The main pool enjoys far-reaching views of the surrounding hills, making it a romantic spot to watch the sunset with your favourite tipple. The Marco Polo Pool Bar is a lovely spot for a casual meal between swims, or for a glass of local vino. A second, smaller pool is available on a lower level, providing a sheltered and quieter setting for a mindful dip. The third pool is designated as an adult-only area, providing guests with an oasis of relaxation.

The Spa

A fourth, heated and covered, pool is in the resort’s wellness facility, where guests can pamper themselves and find inner harmony amidst the serene surroundings. Here you’ll also find a sunken jacuzzi with padded loungers and wet and dry treatment rooms where massages, facials and body treatments use SODASHI products. Beside the spa is a state-of-the-art gym set in a glasshouse, with wonderful views of the scenery to motivate you as you work out.

La Via Della Seta

The hotel takes much inspiration from “The Silk Road”, the network of ancient trade routes that connected the East and West, spanning from China to the Mediterranean Sea. And this influence reaches a culmination in its restaurant, La Via Della Seta. Housed on a grand yet homely nineteenth-century villa, the space has a colonial feel, with tropical banana plants and palms.

Taste the chef’s specialities in the pillared dining room beneath frescoes, or al fresco, under the stars (of which you’ll have a wonderful view, given the lack of light pollution here). Take a culinary journey from East to West, experiencing the spices of the old world, accompanied by the cooking techniques of the new.

Vino Voyage

Poggio Alla Sala’s wine cellar is an integral part of its DNA, as wine is a key component of the region. Set in the hotel’s basement, it is everything you imagine in a classic Italian cellar — a curved ceiling, stone walls and tiny high windows, offset by the comfiest chairs upholstered in luxurious textiles. Take a seat at one of the tables and embark on Vino Voyage, a journey through the region’s finest local vintages, perfectly paired with small plates to enhance the tasting experience.

Bambini a Poggio

The kids’ club and the array of children’s activities available, throughout the day, ensure junior guests are just as spoiled as the grown-ups.

A Taste of Tuscan Life

Dating back to Etruscan times (circa 6 BC), Poggio Alla Sala’s environs are well worth devoting some holiday time to. Choose to connect with nature in nearby woods filled with holm oaks and centuries-old cypresses. Visit the vineyards of Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala, home of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Rosso di Montepulciano and Chianti Colli Senesi (the fertile soils and climate in this part of Tuscany make for ideal grape-growing conditions). And spend a few hours, or a day in Montepulciano, the charming Renaissance hill town just 15km from the estate. A private shuttle – including to the airport – can be arranged on request.

The region’s allure is tangible (not least in its world-famous wines) and this tranquil sanctuary allows travellers to fully immerse in it. Whether seeking a relaxing country getaway in the Italian sun, an international epicurean adventure, wholesome family bonding time, or space to restore individual serenity, Poggio Aalla Sala delivers, while celebrating the essence of Tuscany.

Nestled in the heart of Georgia’s picturesque wine region, the Tsinandali Estate stands as a testament to Georgian heritage and hospitality. This historic estate (the setting for Georgia’s first-ever wine bottling), is now home to the Radisson Collection Hotel. A favourite meeting place of poets, artists and writers, it offers a special retreat into the countryside and is the perfect location for celebrations; from wonderful weddings, multi-generational getaways, romantic breaks and more. Enter the Tsinandali Estate and immerse in a rich regional tapestry of culture, while indulging in world-class amenities and services.

International Art And Design Influence

The estate comprises enchanting parkland that spans 18 hectares, expansive vineyards occupying 40 hectares, a museum, an oenotheque and a majestic residence. The Radisson Collection Hotel brought architects John Fotiadis, Christina Gabas and Damien Figueras on board to shape the Spanish and nature-inspired design, alongside industrial lighting designer Ingo Maurer and Georgian artist Tamara Kvesitadze. Together, they have blended timeless elegance with contemporary luxury, paying homage to the estate’s heritage and incorporating traditional Georgian elements while intertwining modern comforts and amenities. From the moment guests set foot on the property, they are enveloped in a sense of grandeur and sophistication.

124 Guestrooms

Accommodations at the Radisson Collection Hotel Tsinandali Estate are separated into five categories: Collection Standard at 22 m2; Collection Premium at 23 m2 space; Collection Superior offering 22 m2 on the ground floor, with a fantastic vineyard outlook and private terrace; Family Rooms across 44 m2; Junior Suites at 30 m2 (room for up to three guests) with a separate living area; and the Suites spanning 44 m2 each, furnished with a sofa bed and living area. The decor features bold colours, panelled walls, crisp white bedding and noteworthy art. Together the estate has hosted over many happy guests in modern times, and great thinkers like Dumas, Pushkin and Brose back in the 19th century.

The Anne Semonin Spa

For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the hotel offers the Anne Semonin Spa on its fifth floor. where guests can indulge in a range of pampering treatments and therapies, including “wine” experiences. It has a Finnish sauna, a steam room, an infinity pool, a terrace and a leisure club, (whose pool has retractable transparent walls and a roof catering to all weathers). There’s also a children’s pool, cycle paths on the grounds and a tennis courts for a friendly match. Guests staying at the hotel can work out any time of the day or night in the fitness centre, enjoying far-reaching views across the magnificent Tsinandali Vineyard.

Centuries-Old Vintages

And of course, you can sample and learn more about the fruits of that vineyard while you’re here. The estate’s wine cellar boasts an impressive collection of local vintages, allowing guests to savour the flavours and aromas that have made Georgian wines famous worldwide. It was Prince Alexander Chavchavadze who brought European wine-making technology to Tsinandali. And much of his wine collection remains, now expanded to no fewer than 16,500 bottles – among which is the oldest wine in the land: Saperavi of Tsinandali Estate, 1839, bottled in 1841. The hotel’s Gaumarjos Wine Bar provides a lovely setting to relax for a few hours over several glasses (or bottles) with your group. There’s also the option to take a tour and discover wineries from further afield in the region.

Culinary Experiences

Begin your day with a sumptuous buffet at the Prince Alexander (once breakfast service finishes guests can order from an all-day menu here). Take lunch alfresco on the Natella Restaurant’s terrace, as you tuck into authentic Georgian food made using high-quality local ingredients and inspired by Kakheti cooking. Umami Asian Fusion at the Library Bar is a cosy option for your evening meal, paired with a cocktail and a good book from the selection. If you’d prefer a little privacy and exclusivity, there are two excellent spaces available; The Secret Room and The Blue Room where staff will tailor your private dining experience to your needs and wants. And if you’d like to delve even further into the local cuisine, you can opt to take part in an onsite culinary masterclass.

Weddings and Events

Unsurprisingly the estate is a sought-after venue for couples seeking to tie the knot in style. The jewel in its crown is its amphitheatre, seating up to 1000. It was designed by the architect Xavier Fabre (responsible for the Philharmonic of Paris), with acoustics by Damian Figueras. Catering to everything from concerts, to weddings, gala evenings to fashion shows, theatre to opera, it’s a real showstopper in itself. There are several other spaces for groups of 10 to 80; a 600-seat indoor ballroom and banquet hall imagined by lighting expert Ingo Maurer; a 400-seater lounge on the first floor; a hall-style gallery in the yard ideal for themed parties of up to 400; and the exotic Egyptian Room, painted by the Tamar Kvesitadze and overlooking the gardens. Additionally, guests can make use of a break-out space between the amphitheatre and banquet hall — an option for welcome drinks. These unique facilities enable Tsinandali to host the annual Tsinandali Festival, regular art exhibitions and corporate events for clients such as TBC Bank and Porsche.

Final Thoughts

The Radisson Collection Hotel Tsinandali Estate is more than just a luxury hotel; it is a gateway to the enchanting world of Georgian heritage, vineyards and culture. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a history buff, or simply seeking a serene retreat, this artful hotel will certainly enhance your adventures in Georgia.

Inside

The villa’s modern decor embraces the latest in Balearic chic, with retro nods, a crisp white canvas and carefully curated, deeply stylish furnishings, chosen from brands like DEDOM and fim. Remarkable architectural touches include a sunken circular wine cellar with a glass viewing ceiling and a state-of-the-art cinema room. Even when inside, the outside is ever present, via large picture windows which frame the view perfectly. This is especially evident in the dining area, where a long, heavy dark wooden trestle table and Eames-style seating contrast the ice-white polished floors and walls and ceilings, as well as the blue and green landscape seen through the glass.

Each of the suites contains blackout blinds, a 2×2 metre bed, individual climate control, Aesop products and Smart home tech, so you can personalise your space according to your mood. Book the master to soak (with a breathtaking view) in your freestanding bath, lounge on your own sundeck and dress in a purpose-built walk-in closet that caters to the most extensive of wardrobes. In addition to the five further suites, the property comes with a separate pool apartment, ideal for your personal staff entourage, or to accommodate teens who prefer their own space.

Outside

Meals can be taken outside, at the breakfast area in the tropical gardens, or in the gazebo-covered alfresco dining area, with sunken underlit seating, trendy rattan lighting, banana plants and elevated sea views. For pre and post-dinner drinks, guests can retire to the villa’s outdoor bar, fully stocked and prepared to mix up the most complex of cocktails, watched by guests at the accompanying bar seats.

During the day, you can laze in a hammock on the grass; grab some “you” time in the chill-out zone away from the rest of the group; watch the kids play in the deep blue freeform pool (heated or cooled according to your preference) as you revel in sea views across to Dalt Vila; or stretch out with a drink in hand, on the huge C-shaped parasol-shaded sofa beside the pool. The surrounding gardens have been geometrically planted and chosen for their fragrant nature, offering a multi-sensory appeal.

Endless Meal Options

The villa has both indoor and outdoor kitchens, including a traditional pizza oven. And your in-house chef will prepare anything you desire, from morning till night. The chefs have plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian diners and provide special menus for kids, ensuring younger palates’ needs are met with wholesome home cooking. Dishes are prepared using fruits, vegetables and herbs from the Can Nemo farm.

Work Out, Wind Down and Explore

Work out in the open-air TECHNOGYM with The Peloton Bike+, or practice yoga and pilates on the dedicated deck. Wellness coaching, mindfulness sessions, massage and reflexology are also available, in collaboration with resident wellness expert Olga Urban. Or you may prefer to take a stroll to keep your steps up; Talamanca Beach is within walking distance. And the team can arrange excursions, such as speedboat rides and private jet charters — a trip to the nearby island of Formentera is a popular option.

Swiss-Trained Service Staff

Guests have a Mercedes EQV 300 at their disposal to explore the island and a night chauffeur on request, for evenings in Ibiza Town, at Pacha, or Nobu (all of which are but a few minutes away). A chef and villa manager, a cook, housekeeper, waiter, gardener and caretaker — all of whom have been trained by a Swiss butler company — will be on hand to take care of your group, ensuring the property and service standards remain immaculate throughout your stay. The property has full CCTV surveillance in all areas, however, for those clients needing an enhanced level of security, a complement of trained specialised personnel can also be provided.

Stay in one of the finest properties in Cap Cana; a nine-bedroom minimalist dream, with a TECHNOGYM, a hot tub, jacuzzi, an outdoor pool surrounded by plush cabanas, a beach concierge, pickleball/basketball courts, a games room and grand, themed banquets prepared by your personal chef. Yarari Royale is bright, modern and cutting-edge in design, inviting you to fully relax and let the staff attend to your every need.

The Volalto And Sirreti Assurance

With over a decade of experience in the Dominican Republic market (particularly the Punta Cana and Cap Cana resort areas), Volalto presents a portfolio of handpicked fully staffed villas and condos. Including Yarari Royale, set in one of the most sought-after gated villages in the Caribbean. This independently operated and managed villa is one of the exclusive Sirreti community members, meaning guests are assured that the property meets the highest of standards, and showcases excellence, in every aspect from high-spec finishes to personalised service.

Seamless Service

From the moment you arrive, everything is taken care of, with an executive transfer service from Punta Cana Airport, private check-in and welcome refreshments. A daily maid and butler service is provided. The ocean is an integral part of any stay in this part of the world and at Yarari Royale you’re but a five-minute golf cart ride to the famed Eden Roc Beach Club, to which guests receive complimentary access, alongside the Eden Roc Hotel ( La Palapa, Spa Pavilion, Uva Bar, Mediterraneo, Riva Bar, Blue Lagoon Pool Bar & Restaurant and Solaya Spa). Beach chairs are provided here and a concierge is available to take care of you.

Cap Cana: 26 Square Miles Of Caribbean Bliss

The gated resort of Cap Cana is the setting for this fine villa; with a year-round warm climate, very little rainfall, gentle ocean breezes, coral reefs and idyllic white sandy beaches, it’s easy to see why this pocket of the Caribbean has become so popular with those seeking an ultra-luxury getaway. While an ideal choice for those who wish to do very little, there are plenty of opportunities to get active on land and sea too. Those staying at the villa have direct access to activities and amenities, including golf, tennis, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and horse riding. Your concierge can also arrange excursions further afield on the island, spa visits (or in-villa massage treatments) and fitness classes.

Versatile and Stylish

The villa is modern and homely while weaving in more dramatic elements, such as the high-ceilinged main entrance atrium area with double-level windows. Here swing seats hang from a great height, creating a barefoot chic feel and enjoying pool and garden views, along with the comfy sofas. This is just one of many areas for friends and/or family to gather. The villa works well for families — one of the bedrooms contains two queens and two twin bunk beds. But those travelling in smaller groups can book it as a six, seven or eight-bedroom property, as well as the full nine bedrooms (all of which are en-suite). The two king-sized suites include jacuzzi terraces and two of the bedrooms (a king and double queen) are on the ground floor, suiting those with limited mobility — or a desire to be that bit closer to the pool!

Hitting The Gym

If you’re able to tear yourself away from the super comfortable cabanas and loungers beside the sleek pool, you may want to work up a sweat in your private TECHNOGYM. Fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of a dumbbell rack with dumbbell pairs from 1kg to 10kg, an adjustable bench, an Excite+ Vario Elliptical Cross Trainer, a SkillMill Console, a Jog Treadmill, a Kinesis PERSONAL HERITAGE BLACK and an Arke Functional Kit Med on Wallholder. You’ll also have access to a professional Pickleball system and court which doubles for basketball (hoops can be adjusted to accommodate for younger kids).

Personalised Dining

Alfresco meals are a key part of the lifestyle here, and Yarari Royale’s outdoor dining area rises to the occasion with alacrity. However, you won’t need to spare a thought for organising or cooking. Full or part catering is provided, according to your preference, with multiple menu options (you can begin making selections at the time of booking). Vegan and vegetarian diets are fully accommodated, and you can expect theme nights along the lines of: Dominican fusion, Spanish, sushi, Italian, Mexican, meat and seafood BBQs. Not only will the food follow the chosen theme, but so will the music and table decoration, so you can fully immerse in the sense of the occasion.

Yarari Royale is a spacious, air-conditioned, deluxe home-from-home in one of the world’s most beautiful spots. And you can experience this stunning recently built property for yourself, by booking it as your holiday base in the Caribbean.
